"Our wedding took place on the 2nd April 2026 at High House Weddings and we cannot praise the team and the venue highly enough for all that it offered to us on our special day. High House was one of the first venues that we went to tour when we got engaged in August 2025 and it is such a special place from the entrance onwards. We fell in love with the beautiful barn for the wedding ceremony and marvelled at the spectacular Orangery, which we knew would impress our guests and continued to be enhanced by the team there, as the two nooks either side of the bar didn’t exist when we first booked with the venue. As we were holding a same sex wedding, I also cannot recommend High House highly enough. From the initial tour, including seeing the couple’s retreat, we were treated positively and respectfully; it was one of the few venues that we engaged with which had genuinely created a happy and positive space for us which wasn’t pink or bride focused. We appreciated this and it did make the venue stand out from the crowd. From the earliest planning meetings through to the tasting event, it is clear to see how impressive all team members at High House are and how attention to detail is their key mantra. All staff are positive, smiley and warm and this continued with the guests on our wedding day all commenting how polite and friendly the staff were. The venue’s cleanliness and organisation is top notch and the accommodation for all our family was a real jewel for us; it meant that we could have a special moment the next morning before everyone went home and I know that this meant a lot to those nearest and dearest to us. Our day itself was everything that we hoped it would be. The tireless work and focus from Harriette as our Event Manager were evident throughout and she liaised brilliantly with all our suppliers, notably our celebrant and our photographer. There was absolutely nothing that we could fault and her skills are a real asset to the venue.
